In the twilight's embrace, atop a fence so high,

A city's dual allure enchants my wandering eye.

One side, beloved Lisbon, bathed in golden glow,

With magic in its atmosphere, a captivating show.

The cobbled streets whisper tales of a dramatic past,

Where heroes and poets have left their imprints to last.

Sunny days embrace me, with flavors rich and fine,

Food, wine, and laughter, a symphony so divine.

Yet across the divide, the UK's allure does shine,

With riches and comforts, amidst the rain's gentle whine.

The gray weather and buildings may lack a vibrant hue,

But an easy, wealthy life awaits, steadfast and true.

Caught between two worlds, my heart feels torn apart,

For the love of Lisbon and the UK's opulent start.

But in this dance of compromise, I find my solace deep,

Knowing that in each place, cherished memories I'll keep.

So as I bid farewell, with a heavy heart, I confess,

Lisbon's magic and allure, I will forever caress.

In the grayness of the UK, I'll find my wealth and gain,

But in my soul, a whisper lingers, "I will be back here" again.
