The rear gunner position is often the linchpin of school bus defensive fire, as most often schoolbusses will be engaged from the rear as its hunters pursue it down the highways of Texas. Bluebird has gone all-out on this idea with the Stinger, as it lacks defensive positions anywhere else, leaving it vulnerable to side and frontal attacks. Even the typical dorsal escape hatch light machine gun mount and window waist mounts have been removed, leaving the driver with only his nose armor and increased speed to bring hostile vehicles onto the formidable rear turret's arc. Don't stay behind the damn thing.
