The real message was the following:

Τι θαρευσέτε, κερατάδες, είναι ο πόλεμος και τον κινείτε <χωρίς να συλλογισθήτε>; Δεν εντρέπεσθε να ζητήτε <απο ημάς >συνθήκη, με <ένα> κοτζάμ σκατο-Σουλτάν Μαχμούτην, να τον χέσω και αυτόν, και τον Βεζίρη σας και τον Εβραίον τον Σελιχτάρ Μπόδα, την πουτάνα.*
