Piątek I tygodnia okresu zwykłego

(Mk 2, 1-12)

Gdy po pewnym czasie Jezus wrócił do Kafarnaum, posłyszano, że jest w domu. Zebrało się zatem tylu ludzi, że nawet przed drzwiami nie było miejsca, a On głosił im naukę. I przyszli do Niego z paralitykiem, którego niosło czterech. Nie mogąc z powodu tłumu przynieść go do Niego, odkryli dach nad miejscem, gdzie Jezus się znajdował, i przez otwór spuścili nosze, na których leżał paralityk. Jezus, widząc ich wiarę, rzekł do paralityka: "Dziecko, odpuszczone są twoje grzechy". A siedziało tam kilku uczonych w Piśmie, którzy myśleli w sercach swoich: "Czemu On tak mówi? On bluźni. Któż może odpuszczać grzechy, prócz jednego Boga?" Jezus poznał zaraz w swym duchu, że tak myślą, i rzekł do nich: "Czemu myśli te nurtują w waszych sercach? Cóż jest łatwiej: powiedzieć paralitykowi: Odpuszczone są twoje grzechy, czy też powiedzieć: Wstań, weź swoje nosze i chodź? Otóż, żebyście wiedzieli, iż Syn Człowieczy ma na ziemi władzę odpuszczania grzechów – rzekł do paralityka: Mówię ci: Wstań, weź swoje nosze i idź do swego domu!" On wstał, wziął zaraz swoje nosze i wyszedł na oczach wszystkich. Zdumieli się wszyscy i wielbili Boga, mówiąc: "Nigdy jeszcze nie widzieliśmy czegoś podobnego".

Mark 2:1-12

A few days later, when Jesus again entered Capernaum, the people heard that he had come home. They gathered in such large numbers that there was no room left, not even outside the door, and he preached the word to them. Some men came, bringing to him a paralyzed man, carried by four of them. Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus by digging through it and then lowered the mat the man was lying on. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralyzed man, “Son, your sins are forgiven.” Now some teachers of the law were sitting there, thinking to themselves, “Why does this fellow talk like that? He’s blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?” Immediately Jesus knew in his spirit that this was what they were thinking in their hearts, and he said to them, “Why are you thinking these things? Which is easier: to say to this paralyzed man, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up, take your mat and walk’?  But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So he said to the man, “I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home.” He got up, took his mat and walked out in full view of them all. This amazed everyone and they praised God, saying, “We have never seen anything like this!”

Czwartek I tygodnia okresu zwykłego

(Mk 1, 40-45)

Pewnego dnia przyszedł do Jezusa trędowaty i upadłszy na kolana, prosił Go: "Jeśli zechcesz, możesz mnie oczyścić". A Jezus, zdjęty litością, wyciągnął rękę, dotknął go i rzekł do niego: "Chcę, bądź oczyszczony". Zaraz trąd go opuścił, i został oczyszczony. Jezus surowo mu przykazał i zaraz go odprawił, mówiąc mu: "Bacz, abyś nikomu nic nie mówił, ale idź, pokaż się kapłanowi i złóż za swe oczyszczenie ofiarę, którą przepisał Mojżesz, na świadectwo dla nich". Lecz on po wyjściu zaczął wiele opowiadać i rozgłaszać to, co zaszło, tak że Jezus nie mógł już jawnie wejść do miasta, lecz przebywał w miejscach pustynnych. A ludzie zewsząd schodzili się do Niego.

Mark 1:40-45

A man with leprosy[a] came to him and begged him on his knees, “If you are willing, you can make me clean.” Jesus was indignant.[b] He reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” Immediately the leprosy left him and he was cleansed. Jesus sent him away at once with a strong warning: “See that you don’t tell this to anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the sacrifices that Moses commanded for your cleansing, as a testimony to them.” Instead he went out and began to talk freely, spreading the news. As a result, Jesus could no longer enter a town openly but stayed outside in lonely places. Yet the people still came to him from everywhere.

Środa I tygodnia okresu zwykłego

(Mk 1, 29-39)

Po wyjściu z synagogi Jezus przyszedł z Jakubem i Janem do domu Szymona i Andrzeja. Teściowa zaś Szymona leżała w gorączce. Zaraz powiedzieli Mu o niej. On podszedł i podniósł ją, ująwszy za rękę, a opuściła ją gorączka. I usługiwała im. Z nastaniem wieczora, gdy słońce zaszło, przynosili do Niego wszystkich chorych i opętanych; i całe miasto zebrało się u drzwi. Uzdrowił wielu dotkniętych rozmaitymi chorobami i wiele złych duchów wyrzucił, lecz nie pozwalał złym duchom mówić, ponieważ Go znały.Nad ranem, kiedy jeszcze było ciemno, wstał, wyszedł i udał się na miejsce pustynne, i tam się modlił. Pośpieszył za Nim Szymon z towarzyszami, a gdy Go znaleźli, powiedzieli Mu: "Wszyscy Cię szukają". Lecz On rzekł do nich: "Pójdźmy gdzie indziej, do sąsiednich miejscowości, abym i tam mógł nauczać, bo po to wyszedłem". I chodził po całej Galilei, nauczając w ich synagogach i wyrzucając złe duchy.

Mark 1:29-39

As soon as they left the synagogue, they went with James and John to the home of Simon and Andrew. Simon’s mother-in-law was in bed with a fever, and they immediately told Jesus about her. So he went to her, took her hand and helped her up. The fever left her and she began to wait on them. That evening after sunset the people brought to Jesus all the sick and demon-possessed. The whole town gathered at the door, and Jesus healed many who had various diseases. He also drove out many demons, but he would not let the demons speak because they knew who he was. Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. Simon and his companions went to look for him, and when they found him, they exclaimed: “Everyone is looking for you!” Jesus replied, “Let us go somewhere else—to the nearby villages—so I can preach there also. That is why I have come.” So he traveled throughout Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and driving out demons.

Wtorek I tygodnia okresu zwykłego

(Mk 1, 21-28)

W Kafarnaum Jezus w szabat wszedł do synagogi i nauczał. Zdumiewali się Jego nauką: uczył ich bowiem jak ten, który ma władzę, a nie jak uczeni w Piśmie. Był właśnie w ich synagodze człowiek opętany przez ducha nieczystego. Zaczął on wołać: "Czego chcesz od nas, Jezusie Nazarejczyku? Przyszedłeś nas zgubić. Wiem, kto jesteś: Święty Boga". Lecz Jezus rozkazał mu surowo: "Milcz i wyjdź z niego!" Wtedy duch nieczysty zaczął nim miotać i z głośnym krzykiem wyszedł z niego. A wszyscy się zdumieli, tak że jeden drugiego pytał: "Co to jest? Nowa jakaś nauka z mocą. Nawet duchom nieczystym rozkazuje i są Mu posłuszne". I wnet rozeszła się wieść o Nim wszędzie po całej okolicznej krainie galilejskiej.

Mark 1, 21-28

They went to Capernaum, and when the Sabbath came, Jesus went into the synagogue and began to teach. The people were amazed at his teaching, because he taught them as one who had authority, not as the teachers of the law. Just then a man in their synagogue who was possessed by an impure spirit cried out, “What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God!” “Be quiet!” said Jesus sternly. “Come out of him!” The impure spirit shook the man violently and came out of him with a shriek.  The people were all so amazed that they asked each other, “What is this? A new teaching—and with authority! He even gives orders to impure spirits and they obey him.” News about him spread quickly over the whole region of Galilee.

Poniedziałek I tygodnia okresu zwykłego

(Mk 1, 14-20)

Gdy Jan został uwięziony, Jezus przyszedł do Galilei i głosił Ewangelię Bożą. Mówił: "Czas się wypełnił i bliskie jest królestwo Boże. Nawracajcie się i wierzcie w Ewangelię!" Przechodząc obok Jeziora Galilejskiego, ujrzał Szymona i brata Szymonowego, Andrzeja, jak zarzucali sieć w jezioro; byli bowiem rybakami. I rzekł do nich Jezus: "Pójdźcie za Mną, a sprawię, że się staniecie rybakami ludzi". A natychmiast, porzuciwszy sieci, poszli za Nim. Idąc nieco dalej, ujrzał Jakuba, syna Zebedeusza, i brata jego, Jana, którzy też byli w łodzi i naprawiali sieci. Zaraz ich powołał, a oni, zostawiwszy ojca swego, Zebedeusza, razem z najemnikami w łodzi, poszli za Nim.

Mark 1:14-20

Now after John was arrested, Jesus came to Galilee proclaiming the good news of God and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near; repent, and believe in the good news.”, As Jesus passed along the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the sea, for they were fishers. And Jesus said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of people.” And immediately they left their nets and followed him. As he went a little farther, he saw James son of Zebedee and his brother John, who were in their boat mending the nets. Immediately he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed him.

Niedziela Chrztu Pańskiego

(Łk 3, 15-16.21-22)

Gdy lud oczekiwał z napięciem i wszyscy snuli domysły w swych sercach co do Jana, czy nie jest Mesjaszem, on tak przemówił do wszystkich: "Ja was chrzczę wodą; lecz idzie mocniejszy ode mnie, któremu nie jestem godzien rozwiązać rzemyka u sandałów. On będzie was chrzcił Duchem Świętym i ogniem". Kiedy cały lud przystępował do chrztu, Jezus także przyjął chrzest. A gdy się modlił, otworzyło się niebo i Duch Święty zstąpił nad Niego, w postaci cielesnej niby gołębica, a z nieba odezwał się głos: "Ty jesteś moim Synem umiłowanym, w Tobie mam upodobanie".

Luke 3, 15-16.21-22

The people were filled with expectation, and all were asking in their hearts whether John might be the Christ. John answered

them all, saying;I am baptizing you with water, but one mightier than I is coming. I am not worthy to loosen the thongs of his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. After all the people had been baptized and Jesus also had been baptized and was praying, heaven was opened and the Holy Spirit descended upon him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven;You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased,'

Dzień Powszedni II tydzień po Narodzeniu Pańskim

(Łk 5,12-16)

Gdy Jezus przebywał w jednym z miast, zjawił się człowiek cały pokryty trądem. Gdy ujrzał Jezusa, upadł na twarz i prosił Go: „Panie, jeśli chcesz, możesz mnie oczyścić”. Jezus wyciągnął rękę i dotknął go, mówiąc: „Chcę, bądź oczyszczony”. I natychmiast trąd z niego ustąpił. A On mu przykazał, żeby nikomu nie mówił: „Ale idź, pokaż się kapłanowi i złóż na ofiarę za swe oczyszczenie, jak przepisał Mojżesz, na świadectwo dla nich”. Lecz tym szerzej rozchodziła się Jego sława, a liczne tłumy zbierały się, aby Go słuchać i znaleźć uzdrowienie ze swych niedomagań. On jednak usuwał się na miejsce pustynne i modlił się.

Luke 5:12-16

While Jesus was in one of the towns, a man came along who was covered with leprosy. When he saw Jesus, he fell with his face to the ground and begged him, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.” Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” And immediately the leprosy left him. Then Jesus ordered him, “Don’t tell anyone, but go, show yourself to the priest and offer the sacrifices that Moses commanded for your cleansing, as a testimony to them.” Yet the news about him spread all the more, so that crowds of people came to hear him and to be healed of their sicknesses. But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.

Dzień Powszedni II tydzień po Narodzeniu Pańskim

(Łk 4,14-22a)

Jezus powrócił w mocy Ducha do Galilei, a wieść o Nim rozeszła się po całej okolicy. On zaś nauczał w ich synagogach, wysławiany przez wszystkich. Przyszedł również do Nazaretu, gdzie się wychował. W dzień szabatu udał się swoim zwyczajem do synagogi i powstał, aby czytać. Podano Mu księgę proroka Izajasza. Rozwinąwszy księgę, natrafił na miejsce, gdzie było napisane: „Duch Pański spoczywa na Mnie, ponieważ Mnie namaścił i posłał Mnie, abym ubogim niósł dobrą nowinę, więźniom głosił wolność, a niewidomym przejrzenie; abym uciśnionych odsyłał wolnych, abym obwoływał rok łaski od Pana”. Zwinąwszy księgę oddał słudze i usiadł; a oczy wszystkich w synagodze były w Nim utkwione. Począł więc mówić do nich: „Dziś spełniły się te słowa Pisma, któreście słyszeli”. A wszyscy przyświadczali Mu i dziwili się pełnym wdzięku słowom, które płynęły z ust Jego.

Luke 4:14-22

Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about him spread through the whole countryside. He was teaching in their synagogues, and everyone praised him. He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. He stood up to read, and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written: “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”[a] Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him. He began by saying to them, “Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.” All spoke well of him and were amazed at the gracious words that came from his lips. “Isn’t this Joseph’s son?” they asked.

Dzień Powszedni II tydzień po Narodzeniu Pańskim

(Mk 6,45-52)

Kiedy Jezus nasycił pięć tysięcy mężczyzn, zaraz przynaglił swych uczniów, żeby wsiedli do łodzi i wyprzedzili Go na drugi brzeg, do Betsaidy, zanim odprawi tłum. Gdy rozstał się z nimi, odszedł na górę, aby się modlić. Wieczór zapadł, łódź była na środku jeziora, a On sam jeden na lądzie. Widząc, jak się trudzili przy wiosłowaniu, bo wiatr był im przeciwny, około czwartej straży nocnej przyszedł do nich, krocząc po jeziorze, i chciał ich minąć. Oni zaś, gdy Go ujrzeli kroczącego po jeziorze, myśleli, że to zjawa, i zaczęli krzyczeć. Widzieli Go bowiem wszyscy i zatrwożyli się. Lecz On zaraz przemówił do nich: „Odwagi, Ja jestem, nie bójcie się”. I wszedł do nich do łodzi, a wiatr się uciszył. Oni tym bardziej byli zdumieni w duszy, że nie zrozumieli sprawy z chlebami, gdyż umysł ich był otępiały.

Mark 6:45-52

Immediately Jesus made his disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to Bethsaida, while he dismissed the crowd. After leaving them, he went up on a mountainside to pray. Later that night, the boat was in the middle of the lake, and he was alone on land. He saw the disciples straining at the oars, because the wind was against them. Shortly before dawn he went out to them, walking on the lake. He was about to pass by them, but when they saw him walking on the lake, they thought he was a ghost. They cried out, because they all saw him and were terrified. Immediately he spoke to them and said, “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” Then he climbed into the boat with them, and the wind died down. They were completely amazed, for they had not understood about the loaves; their hearts were hardened.

Dzień Powszedni II tydzień po Narodzeniu Pańskim

(Mk 6,34-44)

Gdy Jezus ujrzał wielki tłum, ogarnęła Go litość nad nimi; byli bowiem jak owce nie mające pasterza. I zaczął ich nauczać. A gdy pora była już późna, przystąpili do Niego uczniowie i rzekli: „Miejsce jest puste, a pora już późna. Odpraw ich. Niech idą do okolicznych osiedli i wsi, a kupią sobie coś do jedzenia”. Lecz On im odpowiedział: „Wy dajcie im jeść”. Rzekli Mu: „Mamy pójść i za dwieście denarów kupić chleba, żeby im dać jeść?” On ich spytał: „Ile macie chlebów? Idźcie, zobaczcie !” Gdy się upewnili, rzekli: „Pięć i dwie ryby”. Wtedy polecił im wszystkim usiąść gromadami na zielonej trawie. I rozłożyli się gromada przy gromadzie, po stu i po pięćdziesięciu. A wziąwszy pięć chlebów i dwie ryby, spojrzał w niebo, odmówił błogosławieństwo, połamał chleby i dawał uczniom, by kładli przed nimi. Także dwie ryby rozdzielił między wszystkich. Jedli wszyscy do sytości i zebrali jeszcze dwanaście pełnych koszów ułomków i ostatki z ryb. A tych, którzy jedli chleby, było pięć tysięcy mężczyzn.

Mark 6:34-44

When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. So he began teaching them many things. By this time it was late in the day, so his disciples came to him. “This is a remote place,” they said, “and it’s already very late. Send the people away so that they can go to the surrounding countryside and villages and buy themselves something to eat.” But he answered, “You give them something to eat.” They said to him, “That would take more than half a year’s wages[a]! Are we to go and spend that much on bread and give it to them to eat?” “How many loaves do you have?” he asked. “Go and see.” When they found out, they said, “Five—and two fish.” Then Jesus directed them to have all the people sit down in groups on the green grass. So they sat down in groups of hundreds and fifties. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to his disciples to distribute to the people. He also divided the two fish among them all. They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces of bread and fish. The number of the men who had eaten was five thousand.

Dzień Powszedni II tydzień po Narodzeniu Pańskim

(Mt 4,12-17.23-25)

Gdy Jezus usłyszał, że Jan został uwięziony, usunął się do Galilei. Opuścił jednak Nazaret, przyszedł i osiadł w Kafarnaum nad jeziorem, na pograniczu Zabulona i Neftalego. Tak miało się spełnić słowo proroka Izajasza: „Ziemia Zabulona i ziemia Neftalego. Droga morska, Zajordanie, Galileja pogan. Lud, który siedział w ciemności, ujrzał światło wielkie, i mieszkańcom cienistej krainy śmierci światło wzeszło”. Odtąd począł Jezus nauczać i mówić: „Nawracajcie się, albowiem bliskie jest królestwo niebieskie”. I obchodził Jezus całą Galileję, nauczając w tamtejszych synagogach, głosząc Ewangelię o królestwie i lecząc wszelkie choroby i wszelkie słabości wśród ludu. A wieść o Nim rozeszła się po całej Syrii. Przynoszono więc do Niego wszystkich cierpiących, których dręczyły rozmaite choroby i dolegliwości, opętanych, epileptyków i paralityków, a On ich uzdrawiał. I szły za Nim liczne tłumy z Galilei i z Dekapolu, z Jerozolimy, z Judei i z Zajordania.

Matthew 4:12-17, 4:23-25

When Jesus heard that John had been put in prison, he withdrew to Galilee. Leaving Nazareth, he went and lived in Capernaum, which was by the lake in the area of Zebulun and Naphtali— to fulfill what was said through the prophet Isaiah: “Land of Zebulun and land of Naphtali, the Way of the Sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles—the people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned.”[a] From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.” Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people. News about him spread all over Syria, and people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed; and he healed them. Large crowds from Galilee, the Decapolis,[a] Jerusalem, Judea and the region across the Jordan followed him.

Uroczystość Objawienia Pańskiego

(Mt 2,1-12)

Gdy Jezus narodził się w Betlejem w Judei za panowania króla Heroda, oto Mędrcy ze Wschodu przybyli do Jerozolimy i pytali: „Gdzie jest nowo narodzony król żydowski? Ujrzeliśmy bowiem Jego gwiazdę na Wschodzie i przybyliśmy oddać Mu pokłon”. Skoro usłyszał to król Herod, przeraził się, a z nim cała Jerozolima. Zebrał więc wszystkich arcykapłanów i uczonych ludu i wypytywał ich, gdzie ma się narodzić Mesjasz. Ci mu odpowiedzieli: „W Betlejem judzkim, bo tak napisał prorok: A ty, Betlejem, ziemio Judy, nie jesteś zgoła najlichsze spośród głównych miast Judy, albowiem z ciebie wyjdzie władca, który będzie pasterzem ludu mego, Izraela”. Wtedy Herod przywołał potajemnie Mędrców i wypytał ich dokładnie o czas ukazania się gwiazdy. A kierując ich do Betlejem, rzekł: „Udajcie się tam i wypytujcie starannie o Dziecię, a gdy Je znajdziecie, donieście mi, abym i ja mógł pójść i oddać Mu pokłon”. Oni zaś wysłuchawszy króla, ruszyli w drogę. A oto gwiazda, którą widzieli na Wschodzie, szła przed nimi, aż przyszła i zatrzymała się nad miejscem, gdzie było Dziecię. Gdy ujrzeli gwiazdę, bardzo się uradowali. Weszli do domu i zobaczyli Dziecię z Matką Jego, Maryją; upadli na twarz i oddali Mu pokłon. I otworzywszy swe skarby, ofiarowali Mu dary: złoto, kadzidło i mirrę. A otrzymawszy we śnie nakaz, żeby nie wracali do Heroda, inną drogą udali się do ojczyzny.

Matthew 2:1-12

After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi[a] from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him. When he had called together all the people’s chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Messiah was to be born. “In Bethlehem in Judea,” they replied, “for this is what the prophet has written: “‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel.’[b]” Then Herod called the Magi secretly and found out from them the exact time the star had appeared. He sent them to Bethlehem and said, “Go and search carefully for the child. As soon as you find him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship him.”After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route.

Druga Niedziela po Narodzeniu Pańskim

(J 1,1-18)

Na początku było Słowo, a Słowo było u Boga, i Bogiem było Słowo. Ono było na początku u Boga. Wszystko przez Nie się stało, a bez Niego nic się nie stało, co się stało. W Nim było życie, a życie było światłością ludzi, a światłość w ciemności świeci i ciemność jej nie ogarnęła. Pojawił się człowiek posłany przez Boga - Jan mu było na imię. Przyszedł on na świadectwo, aby zaświadczyć o światłości, by wszyscy uwierzyli przez niego. Nie był on światłością, lecz /posłanym/, aby zaświadczyć o światłości. Była światłość prawdziwa, która oświeca każdego człowieka, gdy na świat przychodzi. Na świecie było /Słowo/, a świat stał się przez Nie, lecz świat Go nie poznał. Przyszło do swojej własności, a swoi Go nie przyjęli. Wszystkim tym jednak, którzy Je przyjęli, dało moc, aby się stali dziećmi Bożymi, tym, którzy wierzą w imię Jego - którzy ani z krwi, ani z żądzy ciała, ani z woli męża, ale z Boga się narodzili. A Słowo stało się ciałem i zamieszkało wśród nas. I oglądaliśmy Jego chwałę, chwałę, jaką Jednorodzony otrzymuje od Ojca, pełen łaski i prawdy. John 1,1-18

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome[a] it. There was a man sent from God whose name was John. He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe. He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God. The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John testified concerning him. He cried out, saying, “This is the one I spoke about when I said, ‘He who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.’”) Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and[b] is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.

(J 1, 35-42)

Jan stał wraz z dwoma swoimi uczniami i gdy zobaczył przechodzącego Jezusa, rzekł: "Oto Baranek Boży". Dwaj uczniowie usłyszeli, jak mówił, i poszli za Jezusem. Jezus zaś odwróciwszy się i ujrzawszy, że oni idą za Nim, rzekł do nich: "Czego szukacie?". Oni powiedzieli do Niego: "Rabbi! – to znaczy: Nauczycielu – gdzie mieszkasz?". Odpowiedział im: "Chodźcie, a zobaczycie". Poszli więc i zobaczyli, gdzie mieszka, i tego dnia pozostali u Niego. Było to około godziny dziesiątej. Jednym z dwóch, którzy to usłyszeli od Jana i poszli za Nim, był Andrzej, brat Szymona Piotra. Ten spotkał najpierw swego brata i rzekł do niego: "Znaleźliśmy Mesjasza" – to znaczy: Chrystusa. I przyprowadził go do Jezusa. A Jezus wejrzawszy na niego, powiedział: "Ty jesteś Szymon, syn Jana; ty będziesz nazywał się Kefas" – to znaczy: Piotr.

John 1:35-42

At that time: John was standing with two of his disciples, and he looked at Jesus as he walked by and said, ‘Behold, the Lamb of God!’ The two disciples heard him say this, and they followed Jesus. Jesus turned and saw them following and said to them, ‘What are you seeking?’ And they said to him, ‘Rabbi’ (which means Teacher), ‘where are you staying?’ He said to them, ‘Come and you will see.’ So they came and saw where he was staying, and they stayed with him that day, for it was about the tenth hour. One of the two who heard John speak and followed Jesus was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother. He first found his own brother Simon and said to him, ‘We have found the Messiah’ (which means Christ). He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, ‘You are Simon the son of John. You shall be called Cephas’ (which means Peter).

Jan zobaczył podchodzącego ku niemu Jezusa i rzekł: «oto Baranek Boży, który gładzi grzech świata. To jest Ten, o którym powiedziałem: „Po mnie przyjdzie Mąż, który mnie przewyższył godnością, gdyż był wcześniej ode mnie”. Wspomnienie św. Bazylego Wielkiego i Grzegorza z Nazjanzu, biskupów i doktorów Kościoła

(J 1,19-28)

Takie jest świadectwo Jana. Gdy Żydzi wysłali do niego z Jerozolimy kapłanów i lewitów z zapytaniem: „Kto ty jesteś?” On wyznał, a nie zaprzeczył, oświadczając: „Ja nie jestem Mesjaszem”. Zapytali go: „Cóż zatem? Czy jesteś Eliaszem?” Odrzekł: „Nie jestem”. „Czy ty jesteś prorokiem?” Odparł: „Nie!” Powiedzieli mu więc: „Kim jesteś, abyśmy mogli dać odpowiedź tym, którzy nas wysłali? Co mówisz sam o sobie?” Odpowiedział: „Jam głos wołającego na pustyni: Prostujcie drogę Pańską, jak powiedział prorok Izajasz”. A wysłannicy byli spośród faryzeuszów. I zadawali mu pytania, mówiąc do niego: „Czemu zatem chrzcisz, skoro nie jesteś ani Mesjaszem, ani Eliaszem, ani prorokiem?” Jan im tak odpowiedział: „Ja chrzczę wodą. Pośród was stoi Ten, którego wy nie znacie, który po mnie idzie, a któremu ja nie jestem godzien odwiązać rzemyka u Jego sandała”. Działo się to w Betanii, po drugiej stronie Jordanu, gdzie Jan udzielał chrztu.

John 1:19-28

This is the testimony of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, ‘Who are you?’ He confessed, and did not deny, but confessed, ‘I am not the Christ.’ And they asked him, ‘What then? Are you Elijah?’ He said, ‘I am not.’ ‘Are you the Prophet?’ And he answered, ‘No.’ So they said to him, ‘Who are you? We need to give an answer to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?’ He said, ‘I am the voice of one crying out in the wilderness, “Make straight the way of the Lord”, as the prophet Isaiah said.’ (Now they had been sent from the Pharisees.) They asked him, ‘Then why are you baptising, if you are neither the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?’ John answered them, ‘I baptise with water, but among you stands one you do not know, even he who comes after me, the strap of whose sandal I am not worthy to untie.’ These things took place in Bethany across the Jordan, where John was baptising.

Uroczystość Świętej Bożej Rodzicielki Maryi

(Łk 2,16-21)

Pasterze pospiesznie udali się do Betlejem i znaleźli Maryję, Józefa i Niemowlę, leżące w żłobie. Gdy Je ujrzeli, opowiedzieli o tym, co im zostało objawione o tym Dziecięciu. A wszyscy, którzy to słyszeli, dziwili się temu, co im pasterze opowiadali. Lecz Maryja zachowywała wszystkie te sprawy i rozważała je w swoim sercu. A pasterze wrócili, wielbiąc i wysławiając Boga za wszystko, co słyszeli i widzieli, jak im to było powiedziane. Gdy nadszedł dzień ósmy i należało obrzezać Dziecię, nadano Mu imię Jezus, którym Je nazwał anioł, zanim się poczęło w łonie Matki.

At that time: The shepherds went with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby lying in a manger. And when they saw it, they made known the saying that had been told them concerning this child. And all who heard it wondered at what the shepherds told them. But Mary treasured up all these things, pondering them in her heart. And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been told them. And at the end of eight days, when he was circumcised, he was called Jesus, the name given by the angel before he was conceived in the womb.

Szósty Dzień oktawy Narodzenia Pańskiego

(Łk 2,36-40)

Gdy Rodzice przynieśli Dzieciątko Jezus do świątyni, była tam prorokini Anna, córka Fanuela z pokolenia Asera, bardzo podeszła w latach. Od swego panieństwa siedem lat żyła z mężem i pozostała wdową. Liczyła już osiemdziesiąty czwarty rok życia. Nie rozstawała się ze świątynią, służąc Bogu w postach i modlitwach dniem i nocą. Przyszedłszy w tej właśnie chwili, sławiła Boga i mówiła o Nim wszystkim, którzy oczekiwali wyzwolenia Jerozolimy. A gdy wypełnili wszystko według Prawa Pańskiego, wrócili do Galilei, do swego miasta - Nazaret. Dziecię zaś rosło i nabierało mocy, napełniając się mądrością, a łaska Boża spoczywała na Nim.

Luke 2:36-40

At that time: There was a prophetess, Anna, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was advanced in years, having lived with her husband seven years from when she was a virgin, and then as a widow until she was eighty-four. She did not depart from the Temple, worshipping with fasting and prayer night and day. And coming up at that very hour she began to give thanks to God and to speak of him to all who were waiting for the redemption of Jerusalem. And when Joseph and Mary had performed everything according to the Law of the Lord, they returned into Galilee, to their own town of Nazareth. And the child grew and became strong, filled with wisdom. And the favour of God was upon him.

Święto Świętej Rodziny Jezusa, Maryi i Józefa

(Łk 2, 41-52)

Rodzice Jezusa chodzili co roku do Jeruzalem na Święto Paschy. Gdy miał lat dwanaście, udali się tam zwyczajem świątecznym. Kiedy wracali po skończonych uroczystościach, został młody Jezus w Jerozolimie, a tego nie zauważyli Jego Rodzice. Przypuszczając, że jest wśród pątników, uszli dzień drogi i szukali Go między krewnymi i znajomymi. Gdy Go nie znaleźli, wrócili do Jeruzalem, szukając Go. Dopiero po trzech dniach odnaleźli Go w świątyni, gdzie siedział między nauczycielami, przysłuchiwał się im i zadawał pytania. Wszyscy zaś, którzy Go słuchali, byli zdumieni bystrością Jego umysłu i odpowiedziami. Na ten widok zdziwili się bardzo, a Jego Matka rzekła do Niego: "Synu, czemu nam to uczyniłeś? Oto ojciec Twój i ja z bólem serca szukaliśmy Ciebie". Lecz on im odpowiedział: "Czemu Mnie szukaliście? Czy nie wiedzieliście, że powinienem być w tym, co należy do mego Ojca?" Oni jednak nie zrozumieli tego, co im powiedział. Potem poszedł z nimi i wrócił do Nazaretu; i był im poddany. A Matka Jego chowała wiernie wszystkie te sprawy w swym sercu. Jezus zaś czynił postępy w mądrości, w latach i w łasce u Boga i u ludzi.

Luke 2:41-52

The parents of Jesus went to Jerusalem every year at the Feast of the Passover. And when he was twelve years old, they went up according to custom. And when the feast was ended, as they were returning, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem. His parents did not know it, but supposing him to be in the group they went a day’s journey, but then they began to search for him among their relatives and acquaintances, and when they did not find him, they returned to Jerusalem, searching for him. After three days they found him in the Temple, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. And all who heard him were amazed at his understanding and his answers. And when his parents saw him, they were astonished. And his mother said to him, ‘Son, why have you treated us so? Behold, your father and I have been searching for you in great distress.’ And he said to them, ‘Why were you looking for me? Did you not know that I must be in my Father’s house?’ And they did not understand the saying that he spoke to them. And he went down with them and came to Nazareth and was submissive to them. And his mother treasured up all these things in her heart. And Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature and in favour with God and man.
